migration-center reduces system downtime in your migration project to a minimum

Any content migration should be planned and scheduled with highest priority and scheduled accurately. The project extent and duration depends on the complexity of the different adaptations in the back-end and front-end, the integration with other systems or the size of the data volume. If the wrong migration strategy is chosen or the migration is not planned sufficiently in advance, unnecessary high costs, long and repeated downtimes and significant overall risks may result. Do not risk the success of your migration project by choosing the wrong product for the job. Use migration-center to reduce the system downtime to a minimum. This saves time, money and keeps your  business running.

How does migration-center do the trick?
The ordinary content migration routine (as pictured in the upper graphic to the right) which most of the current migration tools will follow is divided into the set-up and configuration phase and usually followed by the actual migration phase. The length of this second time period depends on your individual requirements and may take several weeks. During this phase the access to your system is restricted e.g. to read only. No new content may be added and no changes to existing data can be made. This might slow down your business critical processes and result in financial damage.

The secret weapon of migration-center
The secret weapon of migration-center is the ability to carry out successive delta migration of your source systems. This permits migration activities in the initial project phase on live data without effecting your daily business operations. Users continue to work as usual on documents on their source systems, even while in the background migration activities are taking place. In the first delta migration phase migration-center will automatically pick up any changes to your source repositories and integrate them into the migration process. The second delta migration phase is in most projects planned for a weekend, so that the system downtime of only two days affects as little users as possible.

Avoid system downtime during work hours and carry out your content migration as effectively as possible with migration-center.
